Its difficult to make friends after 20 (or after university)
I wish someone told me this when I was still in university. Life was so easy back then. Don’t get me wrong, once you graduate you’re gonna be spending 1/3rd of your day in an office space or wherever you’re working. People are just too caught up with enough shit in their lives that the social energy is drained out of these people by the end of the day. People start to think that ‘the world has its problems’, why should I bother the world with mine? And puts on a face and deal with others. What I am getting at is that, the chances of making a real connection with people once you enter your adulthood is extremely rare to come by.
You can of course make good friends out of your colleagues. If that happens to you, you’re the luckiest person alive. Make sure you reciprocate the efforts your friends are putting in. It counts and matters
